The press on 'Powderblue'

There are singers who with the sheer sound of their voice manage
to bring the world to a halt. Powderblue (pseudonym for Marjolein
van der Klauw) is such a vocalist. After a start doing covers of
Joini Mitchell, she won the Grote Prijs van Nederland-award (the
country's most prestigiuous award is for up and coming musical talents)
as singer/songwriter in 1998. Two years ago she returned with her
first cd So Much To Cover, with guitarist Jac Bico and was
named Female Artist &Discovery of the Year in Texas of all places.
Now there is a second album, which again is a stirring mix of folk,
country and melancholy. Arguably the most interesting vocalist the
Netherlands has to offer.
